Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2025
The short version
We collect only what we need to make WhatDate.Works function. We don't sell your data, we don't track you across the web, and we don't do anything creepy.
What we collect
- Account info: Your email address and name when you sign in (via Google or magic link)
- Poll data: The polls you create, including titles, descriptions, dates, and locations
- Responses: Your availability responses to polls, and any notes you add
- Anonymous responses: If you respond without signing in, we store the name and email you provide
How we use it
- To let you create and manage polls
- To show your responses to other poll participants
- To send you email notifications about your polls (new responses, finalized dates)
- To let you sign in to your account
That's it. We don't use your data for advertising, profiling, or anything else.
Who can see your data
- Poll participants: When you respond to a poll, other participants can see your name and availability
- Poll creators: Can see all responses to their polls
- Our service providers: We use Supabase (database/auth) and Resend (email). They process data on our behalf but don't use it for their own purposes
We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. That's all. No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies.
Deleting your data
You can delete your polls from your dashboard. If you want to delete your entire account and all associated data, email us at privacy@whatdate.works and we'll take care of it within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes, we'll post them here and update the date at the top. We won't suddenly start doing sketchy things with your data.
